Doodles for Your Pupils

When I asked Gomolemo why she made these pieces, her response was simply "...to kill time." This makes sense, because that is often why people create doodles in the first place. We have all been in a boring English or science class. Drawing "8s" and "S'es". Simply wishing we were on a different planet on which we were heroes, kings or princesses.

The beauty in art is in possibility. Anything can be done. If our dreams can be drawn, then we can be drawn to them. So, why not depict what you wish to be?

The first image is a full-lipped queen, pouting as she has all the right to. The second, a growling vampire to remind us of her vicious side. The last image is more playful. Taking from the onomatopoeia of a cow, telling us to keep moo'ving. Whether or not one could group these illustrations together to make speculations on the artist's character remains to be seen. What we have seen, is that this person is good at what she does. Additionally, we have seen that we need to see more of her. Let's hope we do...
